i thought when u said heater went you meant it went the other way as in full temperature and cooking the fish. but if it just went out it shouldnt have killed the fish. what else in the tank cause that fishes fin on the bottom looks pretty banged up.

No he means a complete cycle to establish your beneficial bacteria in the new tank. If you only had the water, sybstrate, and filters running for 24 hours before you added them changes are there was a spike in ammonia/nitrites/nitrates that killed your fish.
Did you condition the new water when you added it to the 90 gal with Prime by Seachem or a similar product?
Did you transfer the gravel and bio-media from tank A to tank B?
What was the temp of the water when you found your fish dead?

I agree with the statements and questions raised above, I would not think the temperature drop overnight killed those fish.

I recently did my weekly cleaning of a 75gal with two separated Midas/RD of about 6-7". I forgot to plug the heater back in. Three days later the tank had dropped to about 68F (lower level of stand in the basement). The fish were fine, but a bit more reserved and slower. After plugging the heater back in, within about 12 hours the temp came back up to 80F. The female laid a whack of eggs too, obviously triggered by the temp changes. No problems with either fish...

we'll theres your problem new tanks need to be cycled for around 4-6 weeks nitrites and ammonia plus the cold water is most likely what did it

Sorry for your loss whats the second fish ?
