Hi yall, guppy chiming in.
I try to ignore board wars and such as I think they are silly..., but I do ocassionally delete posts or censor profanity.

I don't know if everyone realizes this but many of our veiwers are quite young, and I for one want their intro into fish keeping to be a pleasant one, not a lesson in cursing, bigotry, flaming, etc.
In the past I have edited sexually explicit prose, direct and profane name calling, and actionable libel, even a spate of hardcore porn. The last is against federal law as it constitutes distribution of pornography to minors.

I happen to like this site, I don't particularily care what is said about it on other sites and don't badmouth them, if for no other reason than it would be rude.

The anonimity of sites such as this one tends to encourage discourtesy and cowardly personal attacks on others. It is an unfortunate trend.

I thank each of you who takes the time to remember that courtesy and individual respect are important.

I will however continue to edit or delete posts that get to far away from the ideal.

i see nothing wrong with what the mods do consider how many of them there are and how many members plus they have lives of there own. i can see it being hard to keep the peace here especially with the bored wars. if something is deleted or edited its for a reason. just my .02 mods keep doing what you are doing
 
I think mods edit/delete posts no matter what board you're on -- uh, it's kinda their job. Perhaps if there were a PM as to why or at least as a notification of an edited post it wouldn't seem as much of a power trip although IMO this is not necessary. If you have a problem with a mod you as a member should have no feelings of hesitation when it comes to asking for an explination. If members feel that mods are unapproachable THEN there is a problem - the mods here seem reasonable if not welcome to suggestions -- except for rallysman - he's just an a-hole ;) JK!!!

We should stick to what MFK is here for : Monster Fish . Please ,l ets stop all this ranting. I am done with all of the topics here that do not even touch on our theme : And that is to be a fun , great site devoted to monster fish .

I will try my best not to get involved with other things that do not concern our community from now own. I hope our members and staff will try to do this too. If you all care about this site, lets all move on.

Well said. We can still have fun, throw jokes in the lounge, and poke at each other, but I feel it's time to take the high road and rid MFK of unnecessary threads and complications.

And another thing I'd at least write "sexiest" instead of "wonderful" you cheeseball....
