Brian.. it is for the people who can make a choice....not for people who have to do what they have to do........ no one is saying go poor....starve in pursuit of what job you like to do.Those are decisions that need to be answered on a individual basis...... but if you have the opportunity to live your dream job.. well then why not .. you may never get rich but you will be happy.. thats all this is saying to my understanding

This is only if money is no object, it's not about getting rich as most careers don't lead to that. It's about providing a quality life for you and your dependants.
 
If you have a passion for what you love it shouldn't matter if it pays good or not. I've recently decided to get a vendors license and sell fish and possibly if I put enough work and effort open my own aquarium store. I choose to be a vendor not for the money but my passion for fish and the dream of owning my own lfs. I may not become rich or famous but its what I love.

If it don't pay enough for you to provide food and other basics for your family, will it matter then?

if it doesnt i would have to find other means but doesnt mean i shouldnt try to pursue my dream.
