im so glad your back on the forum ak, it wasnt the same without you. i know you can house this fish, but if its not right for you, then dont do it, you know better than anyone if you could house it or not. it would be an oddball in my book though. i dont think ive ever seen one in a home aquarium.

Oh trust me man-I wont pick it up now after reading the info given. As much as I would like to own it...
It just doesn't seem like a good purchase....Even though it would be in better hands.

do a little more research and you never know. if you can get it to eat without a host then id say go for it. but i also agree with zoodiver.

I have personally seen it eat without a host-That certainly wouldn't be the problem..Like I said it's been in their tanks for over a year now...It is roughly 10 to 12 inch in length also...

I take Zoodiver's words very seriously-------

get it man prove all these people wrong

I'm certainly going to take pics of it now-
Most likely tomarrow...It's a beautiful specimen IMO....

I want it------But it seems as if only problem would arise in the long run...It eats already. That isn't the problem...But properly doing it is....I can't give it a host that it deserves----

I mean that would be the right way to do it----Even though it eats just fine-I dont to Improperly house it is all

me too, he def. knows whats goin on.

i don't nor have i ever owned one. but with that said i heard that without the host fish it is a very boring fish. kinda just sits against the glass and eats not much personality. but like every fish there is always different ways they could act

There would be other fish in the tank-
Not like this would be a solo fish or anything---Just couldn't offer right host is all...

it does sit against the glass-but as soon as one raises the glass tops it becomes quite active.....

The mouth is the fascinating part to me
