Mine never did, I had them with angels, but that’s always a possibility with tetras, especially larger ones. But they’re not like tiger barbs are anything

If you skip the smaller tetra, hujeta would be awesome, but they’re very predatory, so nothing less than 3/4 their size.

Hujeta aren’t true gar, they’re in the characin family like tetra. They get 8-9” usually. I have 3 with some geos and an HRP

Not aggressive at all, but very predatory. If they can’t eat it, they won’t bother it

How many do you think could go into the 150g?

With my angels I have Congo tetras. Good in that because the giant vallis plants goes all the way to and across the surface the Congo tetras swim middle to surface. I then have some pvc pipe floating in the plants and big bog wood so even the plecs are bottom, mid and surface!
I tend not to follow convention as I find Mother Nature doesn’t either.
