New 180. Thoughts? Will be filtered with 3 fx5 and 2 emperor 400s. What should I remove? What should I add? This is just a list of fish I'm ordering from an online vendor, nothing has been done yet. Any response will be greatly appreciated. I am ok if there might be issues because I have many other tanks available.

Synspillum
Carpintis
Fredi
Festae
Pearsei
Robertsoni
Lyonsi
Herichthys Turqoise

Possible additions to list?:
Green Terror
Jaguar
Severum
Cuban

Thanks again for all help!

Woah, talk about filtration!

As far as the stock goes, you're more than likely going to have crazy aggression problems when the fish get passed their juvenile stage, and that's not including the "possible additions" list.

we ahve similiar stock ideas but i would rtaher do it in a 8x2x3

I've seen lots of "overstocked" tanks that function just fine. this seems to be the only forum on the internet where people would suggest 4 fish for a 180 gallon tank. to be completely honest get all the fish as there is a higher chance they will tolerate each other as adults if they grow up together, and i guess when you do encounter these "blood baths" you just remove a fish or two until you get the perfect balance that works for you. there is nothing wrong about taking a gamble, it is your tank and put what you want in it.
that was my un-mfk responce.

here is my MFK responce

you can only have 1 fish in that tank and you need to have a 125 gallon sump to filter it.

Wow, almost like you just threw some darts at a long list of CA/SA Cichlids! No sense in telling you there will be issues because with that list I'm sure you're aware. But personally, I would go with 6-8 juvie Festae and try for a pair rather than the royal rumble.

You should give it a try. Judging by the filters you are going to use on the tank, I am pretty sure you can afford a spare tank if things go wrong. I do think it is a little overstock, but I cannot say that it will not work or it is gonna be a disaster. Just make sure you can re-home some of the fish if things go wrong and you should be ok.

I agree to a point, MFK does seem to give "interesting" answers. But that stock list is very heavy and the law of averages with those species says that there will be issues.

Letting them fight it ot is not ideal as in the end someone is going to get hurt.
