Throwing in the White Flag...

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that there have no more deaths.

Also just wanted to put it out there for anyone wondering, Clout has had NO negative effect on my Pleco, Plants or Biological filter. I was skeptical about using it full strength and for the full 24 hours at first but Tested the water today before I did the WC (2 full doses of Clout later) and all my water parameters were good still (A 0 - Ni 0 - Na 5).

Update: Good & Bad

Day 4 of the Clout treatment showed improvement. Somewhat. For "dinner" I fed the tank Peas and everyone but the "x-alpha" ate. Even my red zebra mbuna that hadn't ate in about a month ate them. Figured that was a good sign!

Day 5 morning feeding I went back to soaked NLS pellets and only 1 fish ate while the rest mouthed and spit out the food. I was curious so I dropped some Spirulina flakes in and once again everyone ate (except x-alpha he's still looking rough). So I did a 50% WC and put my carbon back in.

I spotted one fish with white feces a while ago so whatever it is that the clout didn't kill in that 5 day treatment is beastie! The water is crystal clear, all parameters are great, Epsom salt is still being put in and the fish are on their own now. Only the strong survive.

Thank you you for your help everyone. I'll update in a week or so and let you know if the disease returns full force or dies off.

Update: Lost the "x-alpha" a couple days ago. Died as the past fish have. The remaining 5 seem to be doing great. My red zebra mbuna has seemed to make a complete recovery and has even gained its weight back.

But... They ALL still have the stringy white feces except my ice blue convict which has never showed any symptoms... Yet. I've spotted it everyday. All other symptoms seem to be gone for now. Everyone's eating Spirulina 20 flake food, they spit out the NLS pellets now for some reason except for a couple of them. But they're eating again.

Update: Hopefully this is my last update on this long white feces from hell thread.

All fish have have seemed to make a full recovery. I haven't spotted any thin long white feces since my last update (about a week). All fish are eating good and doing great!

Aggression has actually went up now with the remaining fish healthy and there not being enough fish in the tank to spread the aggression but I will be giving it some time still before adding new fish.

With that said, I have a whole new respect for Clout and wish I would've started with that to begin with. But hey you learn from experience right?

Thank you to everyone that had input on the situation.

Annnnnd its back! The white stringy feces is back. On and off. More on then off. Not all fish have it but it's for sure back in the tank. They are all eating and acting normal from what I can tell but white poop can not be a good sign especially with what my tank has gone through. I am at a complete loss. I have no idea what it can be. Started feeding epsom salt NLS again for those that'll eat it. Dam tank just refuses to be normal.
