I just meant that may not be the best approach to try to get a new area implemented.

I've been so busy the past week I haven't been online much, and by a couple posts I saw I guess I must have missed some fun stuff from the sounds of it lol.
With that said- I've Admin'd on a number of sites for close to 20 years now, some of them are rather large sites with over 50,000 registered members. On a couple of the sites we tried what is being suggested here, a bit more "anything goes / relaxed rules" section, and they simply don't work. In theory they seem like a good idea, but in the end all they do is breed the exact thing a forum is trying to prevent. And then if there is an issue between two members (and there will be trust me it is bond to happen) it will end up spilling over into the regular forums as well. Just one of those things that sounds like a good idea but doesn't work out the way it's intended.

I like the idea in theory but think it would get out of hand very quickly.
Can you clarify exactly what you would like the section to be though, just a looser version of the off topic thread or a truly anything goes thread? I don't think we need porn or bomb making instructions here but I do enjoy seeing the other side of members that aren't related to fish.
I haven't been on for a few days and looks like I missed some kind of ruckus and have noticed a few people have been banned in my absence so there may be a need for a space for people to cut loose within reason without them being kicked off the forum. I don't like the idea of losing meters fish knowledge (which is what most of us are here for) because they make a dodgy comment in a thread that's not aquarium related.

Idk man. Really just thinking outloud. Just somewhere that members are either forced to act like adults or DO NOT ENTER. Maybe certain topics that we cant discuss in here are allowed. Ultra sensitive members would understand that in that section there is no harrassing the modes because they dont appreciate someone tone. Sure no cursing or porn or crazy stuff.
Its not my idea it should be all our ideas combined.
This would probably amount to more work than its worth and doesnt seem like such a good idea if only a few of us are even interested tbh
I think the flaw in the plan is expecting people to act like adults.....
