Not that extreme. I personally was thinking something hid from possible new members and something you had to actively log into. Not flaming or vendetta stuff. Just a debate type deal.
Hello; I say no to an IQ requirement for at least two reasons. One is that would somehow have to be administrated or do we just take someone's word for an IQ? Too many moving parts and the "winners" would still argue.
(Brings to mind a visual of a day back in the late 1950's some of us decided to ride our bicycles to the top of the Pinnacle overlook. One of the guys had the highest recorded IQ of my class.
I can still picture in my mind him crashing off the narrow road into the trees during the fast downhill run. The sound he uttered is also memorable. He had a bike with brakes that gripped on the rim. Right before the ride he changed all his brake pads. I recall how he was bragging about it.
Alas he installed the pads backward and when he clamped down hard at speed all the rubber brake pads slipped right out and were bouncing along the road. He was a tall fellow. Had a death grip on the handle bars, dragging his feet, a modulated sound just short of a scream arose from his lips. )
Another reason is a person does not need a high IQ to have common sense and useful knowledge.

Such subforums are always members only, the lurkers don't see them. The extreme one I mentioned, required 500 member post to access.
They CAN be done, but totally umodded (asides from threats and family insults) are a flame war waiting to happen.
Just my 2 cents, i'm sure it's possible here in some capacity. But of course, it's ADMINs forum and call.
I come here for the fish talk mainly. If I feel contentious, I head to some political forums that lean Liberal
Where are you getting the unmodded or moddless area ? I think a few of us mentioned the opposite
Yeah as long as it the conversations are not talking about anything illegal, it would be nice to have some dialogue.
I guess that’s another polarizing topic similar to religion and politics is the reason we don’t.
