What amazes me is, how rare fossils of the australian megafauna are. Most fossils are found in caves. We know not much about Australias past. I must have been amazing to see that continent at that time. The first aboriginies had a great adventure.
 
Haha that's a tiny portion! The deserts in the north have te size of germany france and spain together ;)
Once again, I never said anything about desert as there are lot of unpopulated areas in Austrialia with various landscapes. Lot of zoo escapees out in the wildlife areas goes unnoticed for few years like the pygmy hippo case. Austrailia is less populated than United States and there are lot of spaces in the outback & bush. Believe it or not, there is a feral population of rare asian wild oxen in Australia.

completly agree with that. Australia provides huge habitats and most of them a without human population.
