"tied" world record bass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How does a heavier fish constitute a tie? That's preposterous.

Heard it long couple days ago. IGFA requires the fish to be 2 oz and bigger to replace the previous record if the fish is under 25lbs. If they stick with that rule then the chance is that the fish will not replace the record even though its bigger...by an ounce. The fish sample would have to go into a lab to test to see if its a true LMB and not a hybrid of others, I think. :D

Yep, that's preposterous to list a heavier fish as a "tie"

What a jip and i thought my 15 lb 2 oz was huge,Yikes that thing is massive.

You think that's a jip, try living in Minnesota. Our record is less than 9 lbs.

Our record is 6 ounces from breaking Perry's record. :D
Im pretty sure there's a lot of world record breakers swimming somewhere in Lake Dixon here due to a fact that lots of 20 pounders have been caught in Dixon. Mexico probably have a world record breaker swimming in there also.

Bass lakes in California were stocked with Rainbow Trout as a protein source, correct?
