I think your tank might have been too small. Do you have any filters? I think that you were a bit overstocked and the bio load was too much for the 4 barbs and the other fish.

I think that a 6 gallon tank isn't enough for them as they are a schooling fish. Thats not even enough for one school i'de say. A 10-20 gallon would be good for 1 school. 1 school has around 6-7 tb

It will most likely die since they are not very good on their own. (don't be surprised if it passes away) You will need a filter though. A power filter would give you oxygen and cleaning. Thats in my opinion. Im sure some mods will chime in and give their opinion too!

This isn’t what I meant. I meant to add established filter pads or media not the waste and detritus.
This makes sense now. Tiger barbs are fast swimming active fish they need a decent source of oxygen and proper filtration.
Just putting them in a little bowl isn’t going to work.
