Well, nice thing about fish is they only get as big as you feed them. I'd like to get them to 24 inches, the front to rear depth of my 220, and then decide if I want to keep them at that size, or build a bigger tank? I've had 24 inch Snakehead before, a 24 inch Arrowana and 24 inch Peacock bass before. But never pushed any fish beyond that length. Hmmmmmm? anyway what ar your future plans for them when they near that big?

They are in a 220 now, and I now they will need bigger if I want them bigger than 2ft long. Lots of time to think about that. I think I need a chiller, but hate to drop the 500 bucks on one before I know how hardy these fish are in captivity. We don't have a pic of Mike's 50 Musky, but it was a Musky, not a tiger, sorry for confusion.ESOX;1086458;1086458 said:What ever tank you got is not big enough. I'd also like to see your hubbys fish that was only 4" shy of the world record. Please post pics. Surely you must have them if it was really that big.
I don't have that option for some reason?? Grrrrrvamptrev;1086479;1086479 said:u have to go to New Reply (bottom left side)

If I'm cruel for raising a fish to 24 inches long, and then only feeding him enough to maintain that size, then you might want to say a prayer to God complaining about mother nature. I've been to lakes where Northern Pike are over 40 inches long. I've been to other lakes were you could fish all day and never catch one bigger than 24 inches. Supply on demand, AKA food supply. Bottom line, fish only grow as big as their food supply, and that's not cruel, that's nature! Sorry you feel that way!Bsixxx;1086490;1086490 said:wow![]()
you stunted fish on purpose? that is rediculous, first that is a myth no fish will stay the size of there tank they will grow no matter what and second that is the worst thing you could do to an animal, keep them in a little space to reach a size you want them to be![]()
