Tiger Salamander Larvae

Shouldn't adults be kept in terrariums? I may be totally off base, but once they take on their adult form (lose their gills), I don't think they should be kept fully aquatic.

They do fine fully aquatic. I recommend having plants for them to float in, but he prefers to spend most of his time walking along the bottom looking for food, then coming up for a gulp of air.

Mine seems very comfortable totally aquatic in his morphed state. I have floating aquatic plants, and I had a shelf made from artificial plants, but he stays 98% of the time on the bottom, just shooting up to the top to get air occasionally. Rarely, I will see him floating on the bed of plants with his nostrils out of the water. I had planned to make a more extensive shelf for him, but he does not seem to want it.
