Zoodiver, I read in an earlier post in another thread (probably months ago) that you were going to visit the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. Did you make it down there? If so what did you think of their arapaima in the Lied Jungle? Saw them a few weeks ago. They're incredible...
It's looking really good, I was just up there yesterday and saw that they had added it to the shark tank. Also unrelated but a little dissapointed that they took out the Morlets Croc and added an American Alligator and alligator snapping turtle to that pen instead ~Trent
When did that happen? Morlet's was out on display when I was there last Monday.
As for the Omaha trip - I used to be there alot. I haven't been in awhile, but know a lot of the guys who work there. Great crew, great animals.
As for this tiger pup- only Atlantis has kept them prior to this (that I know of). We'll see how it does. Dallas World is known for keeping the rarest of rare and doing it well.
I know of a couple places that have kept Tiger Sharks in the past. Ones I know of off the top of my head are NC aquarium and The Living Seas. The living seas had an 11 footer and she lived for a little under a year. Heard she was very approachable and friendly as well.
