The same applies to any pimeloid catfish...they'll engulf anything remotely possible to swallow. Just use common sense. They can go with a variety of tankmates as long as they're big enough. Avoid putting "slender" fish with them as well, such as any eels, small snakeheads, small wolf fish, etc. A fish that seems too long to swallow can still be eaten.
BE VERY CAREFUL I HAVE ONE BOUGHT IT TWO MONTHS AGO AT TWO INCHES AND NOW ITS8 0R NINE INCHES A LONG EATING MACHINE CANT BELIEVE WHAT IT CAN FIT IN ITS MOUTH THEY EAT LIKE REDTAIL CATS
Remember that the size of the mouth is not an accurate way of measuring the fishes ability to eat another fish. they will tear there jaws to get food in.
there all juvenile fish my fh is 3in. and my pike is like 4.5in i figured it would be better to get em while hes young and sortof grow up around em and all that
