Are tigrinus catfish sensitive or hardy fish? anyone got info on them?

treat them as if they are the most sensitive fish ever.....cause they are expensive lol

yup^

once they are use to tank life and over 6" they are bullet proof

i think they are a lot hardier than some sites have claimed but take care of you water and you should be fine. only when they are small takes special care as making sure they do eat.

yea

they are pretty easy

Keep your Nitrate LOW, and dissolved O2 HIGH. Lots of turnover/water flow in the tank is mandatory. When I shut off my twin sump return Mag 7's and 2 Eheims on my 180, my Tig goes nuts, he hates still water. As soon s your kick the pumps back on he's happy. DO NOT OVERFEED! Beyond that, they are pretty easy. I consider 10ppm Nitrate the absolute upper limit for my tank, and change out 40 gallons, 2 times a week, sometimes double that if the levels peg over 10. Good luck, post pics. Alot of people will tell you that Tig's swimming vertically up the glass is normal, I think that's bull****, IMO it's a sign of stress, or a lack of hiding places. You really need to have a good hiding spot for him, or at least a big stump to lay under or behind.
