Time for Trev to be a Grandpa?

OMG, 8 rays in there! I must have lost count. I have 5 in a 9x4 and thought i was overdoing it a little plus you have more males than females. That is interesting. Maybe i need to get another male? Wonder what the wife would say!!

I usually keep the aggressive males in a 180 that is tied in with this tanks filtration, but that 180 is now housing 3 suspecting females, so the males are all in the 750 for now.... Eventually this will be the males tank once I get some tanks freed up for the females. There's too many potential pup predators in there, so I will be moving the females then the males will just go visit the females for a while, once they're ready for a break the male/s will just go back to their home in the 750 gallon "meat locker"

I usually have a dozen rays on this system between the 2 tanks, but I think the filtration I'm running could easily handle twice the current bio load based on the weight of feedings. Pretty happy with the filtration going on in this system. ;)

Congrats bro that was one of the finest videos I have ever seen. You surely have a lot of traffic in there. What do you feed them to be so much on heats.

Db......
Just curious ... If you just 2 mature males .. would they fight a lot more than if you had 5..?
I ask because I once looked after a mature male Ray for a friend and had to separAte them after 1 day..

great video by the way

Thanks Ade!

I actually had to move the Falk and Pearl out of the 180 gallon I usually keep them in so I had a place for my Marbles that are holding. I had 3 males in there for a while (Falk. Pearl, and Marble) and they seemed to get along fine. I don't seem to have much trouble keeping males together but there's a lot of shuffling going on all the time so maybe that's not giving them enough time to establish territories? I know this works with my toothy fish. Maybe since they are different species they have a higher tolerance for each other? I'm not sure I've ever had 2 proven established males together so maybe that's why they get along?

i am so happy for you DB. But i am mad you beat me...LOL

Mine has lots of bite marks and is big, so maybe she already is prego, but i really doubt it :) i think you won :)
congrats!!

Ok so I may be a month head of you :)
I see movement in my girl today!
Crazy sisters from same litter prego at same time after this many years.

Trev you have two litters of grankids coming!

Congrats man! Very happy for you! This is definitely a pretty crazy coincidence.

I'd rather keep my end of the bargain with you Keep then hold out for decent pics, so here's the best I have for now. :( Hard to clean the acrylic during frog season as everyone seems to be a little edgy.

Once the Marbles pop I'll move her back to the mom tank, will be much easier to get pics in there. I think I see movement but I don't even trust my eyes anymore, gf says she doesn't. She's getting big - that we definitely agree on.
