OMG, 8 rays in there! I must have lost count. I have 5 in a 9x4 and thought i was overdoing it a little plus you have more males than females. That is interesting. Maybe i need to get another male? Wonder what the wife would say!!
I usually keep the aggressive males in a 180 that is tied in with this tanks filtration, but that 180 is now housing 3 suspecting females, so the males are all in the 750 for now.... Eventually this will be the males tank once I get some tanks freed up for the females. There's too many potential pup predators in there, so I will be moving the females then the males will just go visit the females for a while, once they're ready for a break the male/s will just go back to their home in the 750 gallon "meat locker"
I usually have a dozen rays on this system between the 2 tanks, but I think the filtration I'm running could easily handle twice the current bio load based on the weight of feedings. Pretty happy with the filtration going on in this system.
