Same thing here, i got pulled over a little over a month ago for no front plate, and ended up getting a 334$ ticket for beer, and a warning type thing for the plate. last tuesday night i got pulled over AGAIN, this time the cop was pissed and is making me get a plate on it and be inspected in 15 days. i got a fkn body kit on my car, there is NO place to put one. i hate cops.
my old honda had 5% all arround for 3 years finally right before a I got rid of it I got pulled over and got a 400$ ticket pa is going to change the law again soon that really sucks li you should have offered the cop a bag of massivore
i have mirror tint on my lancer, it's 12% metallic tint. can't really see much in the dark

If its aftermarket, find out the legal tint limit and fight it in court if yours is close to the legal limit but not illegal.
Factory, just say its factory and thats it.

I was born and raised in Virginia Beach Virginia up untill 4 years ago. Being a commonwealth state they can impose any dumb A** rule they want. Virginia law basiclly states unless you buy it from the factory like that it is illegal to have on your car. Tint included. As with most places it depends on the Police Officer and what mood he is in. I was pulled over by a state trooper and got 7 tickets, Tint was one along with to low to the ground, fog lights, graphic on back window, exhaust, air freshener hanging on the rear view mirror, oh Yeah speeding.
i have limo tint. it too is illegal in TN. if i get pulled over, i just roll my windows down. they can complain if they cant see it
