Adult breeding stock:
Two Standard Motoro Females
One Standard Motoro Male
One Marbled/Standard cross Motoro Male
Offspring results:
Largest female - produced five pups, three died, two survived.
- two males
- one female
Smallest female - produced two pups
- two males
Judging by the pups markings I believe the Marble/Standard cross male was the sire of both litters. I also know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that will be the sire of the next batch. I witnessed the consummation with both females.
Their markings are very nice! Congrats! I don't doubt that the Marble/Standard cross will be the father of most, if not all of your litters...He was a very rambunctious ray! The ray in the fourth pic down is superb!
A little update. The tally was seven pups from two separate females and the same father.
One male, still born
One male, bitten, died a day later. (given to HS for Biology study)
One male, "pre-me" and I euthanized it. (given to HS for Biology study)
Survivors:
One female.
Three males.
Mixed bag of offspring (female/male) came from largest adult female litter.
All males came from smaller adult female litter.
