I appear to have some sort of infestation, there are dozens of tiny white crawling things on the inside of my glass. They look like very small thin white lines probably about a millimetre long just moving about on the front glass close to the spray bar.

I added a new fish on Sunday so maybe it had something?

Anyone have any idea what this could be? :nilly:

some sort of parasite?

That's what i'm thinking but the fish are behaving normally, no rubing on the sand/decor, no rapid gill movement, normal poop, no signs of attachments or discolouration on the fish...

They are probably harmless flatworms. Feed less and remove the ones you see to reduce their numbers. You could also, if reasonable, add a fish that would eat them.

Thanks guys, I am just reading up on Planaria and it fits the description. With all of my greedy pigs the food I add is gone as soon as it enters the tank, I added a new Jag on Sunday is it possible they came in with him? I have never had them before.

It says they are harmless to the fish is this right?

You could also, if reasonable, add a fish that would eat them.

Any suggestions?

Suggestions would first be to cut back feeding. This will reduce their numbers. But if that isn't a reasonable option for you, there are plenty of flatworm-eating species out there. I see your stock list, but how many gallons are we working with here? I'd hate to suggest an inappropriate fish.
