market shrimp and gf
cool, i got some market shrimp...i'll try that first.

didn't really go for the shrimp, but it chowed down on the tilapia pieces. I'm so glad I finally saw it eat and eat well. the IT went for the shrimp, though, which is another good thing as I never really saw it eat, either.

feed it live blackworms it will love your for ever and brine shrimp. place smallpowerhead with sponge filter on the bottom of it in one end of the tank. Keep the watter nice and clean. And becarefull them tankmates dont get threw the devider. they will most likely rip is
streamers off and maybe kill it

Mine likes to perch itself on his drift wood went from abot 3" to 5 " in a month and gorges himself on crawfish mines kinda lazy and doesnt really like tankmates makes him nervous . really tame lets me pet him already :D tips clean water and plenty of food he will be a monster in no time:headbang2

thanks for the tips. right now, it's w/ a 2" IT datnoid and it seems fine. the dat hides most of the time and the jur is usually out in the open and doesn't seem lazy at all. if the black aro gets through the divider, it sure isn't going to hurt the juruense. it's probably too afraid to even try and is smaller than the jur, anyway. i would put the dat in another tank, but the only one suitable for it has some CL's and tetras w/ ich :irked: I have a piece of driftwood I'm going to add to the side that the jur and IT are on. I would get blackworms if I found them available locally, but it seemed to love the tilapia pieces and it's belly was still a little rounded this morning. I have a fluval 3+ in-tank filter on the jur/IT side, so there's a decent amount of current, as well as a larger sponge filter on the aro side.

I had to move it out of the 20 tonight and into a 40 breeder. I hope there's enough current in there (I have an AC70 and Penguin 350). We'll see how well it gets along w/ the black lancer and bichirs.

Everything was going fine until tonight when I got home. The black lancer and juruense now have quite a bit of ich all of the sudden :irked: I put them in the ich treatment tank.

IDK what it is with that tank, but it seems like everything gets ich (minus the bichirs and loaches/botias besides the clowns). WTH is going on? I will post in the disease forum if need be. I can put a fish in the 40 and within the next day or two, it gets ich.

:iagree: you should treat the tank that the ich is in , not treat the fish in another tank , when you get them cured and move them back it will return
