Lol, this made me laugh. I am not at that point, but if something goes wrong my wife will probably insist that it go. Let's definitely hope it doesn't come to that.

As you fill it check the silicone between the glass panels, If it looks clear or kind of green your good, But if it turns white that is the silicone being pulled from the glass. It may be the bond is not good in that area. I hope that makes sense. All the silicone looks good but I don't know if it's ever been resealed before.
It is sitting on a wooden stand (I believe that is made by Aqueon) which I modified by putting 4x4's on the top and bottom to add height.
No, they temp would have to be drastically different for that to happen.....like 100 degrees different. One question that I thought of, my tank is sitting in my house where it is 70 degrees. However, my cold water line is currently about 50 degrees. If I fill in increments, or even just from filling normally, do I have to worry about the temperature differential causing the glass to crack?
As far as I can tell, by looking at Aqueon's website and tracking their part number, they don't make the stand.

It looks like All Glass Aquarium either makes it or gets it from the same supplier as Aqueon. Note the 51192 part of PID code matches what Aqueon uses on the 24x72 stand they offer on their website. This is common for 3rd party sellers to use the suppliers part codes to simplify tracking.
The stand (per the image on the link) appears to be rated for a 180 gallon. So, I'd probably not fill it until someone who built the stand told me that it could hold an extra 400-450 pounds. Obviously, it might hold a 220, and obviously, your stand might not be the same part number.
