Sounds like a highly successful endeavour to me! Good idea with the Bowl and blankets and with the speed you get the tank re set up it would limit his stress. He will always be stressed that is unavoidable totally but it sounds like you kept it to an absolute minimum... fine work.

The problem was the speed I set the tank up at. Sadly it took more time than usual, but all and all he was out of his tank about 2.5 hours. He was really dark and sitting at the bottom, but once in he went straight to his log and hung out there. Once the shrimp were in the tank he went straight into hunting and he's back to normal.
