TITAN AQUATICS 374g (externail) build 96"x30"x30"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You should have enough sand man. Like i said you have one more bag worth at least (maybe two actually) than i have in my 240 with the same footprint. I may have only used 2 bags when doing my 240, but I am not sure. If you dont let me know and ill send some out to you and make that tank right the way you want it. I still have some left over so like i said just let me know and ill have my people get on that :) With big central and south americans they are gonna dig all day long and move a lot of sand so if it were me i would roll the tank and give the bottom a paint job. Did the bottom of my 75,and my hoga digs all day and doesnt look bad when the bottom shows cause then your just seeing the black paint. Glad i could play a part in this beautiful tank.

Yeah I agree they gonna bulldoze it and mess it up lol. I'm going to look locally for that background stuff to put on the bottom. I don't want to paint because that will take a while putting a bunch of coats and letting it dry. Ill keep y'all posted.

Universal Rocks can make low profile rocky backgrounds of any size. They made me a 15' x 4' one which is going on the floor of my my tank.

Now that is some cool looking stuff. Only thing is my openings on the top are like 16x32...id have to get it and cut to a few different peices. I guess you are using sipicone to mount it to the bottom? That would be kinda cool looking....that with a little sand dusted over it to get in the low areas.....

It comes in a roll and the background is no more than 1/2" high. It will easily fit through our 33" x 33" openings. As big as our piece is, it would also fit through a 30" x 16" opening.

So its rolled up??? Your just going to silicone it down? I dont see any prices on there page (still looking at it)

For custom made stuff, you have to call them. While other MFKers have complained about reaching them, they have always answered the phone when I've called them.

Cool. I will keep that in the back of my head...only issue I would have is how to do my driftwood on slate with that. I see they have there own wood stuff too but I bet it adds up quick. I had thought about doing a background like that on the back of the tank but since I want it simple with the fx5's I wasnt sure how the intakes would work/look so I kept the back simple too...black.

Found a place by me that I can get a 24" wide strip and they will cut a 6" wide strip so I can put it on the bottom for 25$. So it looks like I will just do that...and not be so lazy lol. I will try for thursday....

Having some friends over tomorrow night to pull the tank and hook up the bottom. I'm shooting for water in the tank Saturday...maybe.

My wood got mounted tonight Uhhh huuh huuh hhhuuuh.

Got the black on the bottom! Went in just as expected...easy...other than actualy getting the thing on its back on the table. Sorry didn't get pics of it all...and the black just shows how filthy the inside is lol. I plan to have water in it tomorrow.
