Titanicus L273

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yea you prob could, as objects like that and rocks etc, usually get in their way, and they are quite boistrous and could injure themselves. in general they like caves/ pipes as retreats, but if your having more than one, it might be an idea to either put more in that their are plecs, or none at all, cause it will almost definately increase territorial disputes

worried abt the difference in temperaments. Notice that titanicus tend to be more meek compared to other pseudas. Have to do a little trial and error on that.

mine at the moment keeps hiding. only eats when the lights go out.

will have to go shopping for some serious DW in that case.

maybe be pushing it a bit with the amount wyldfya has, but dont think it would be that big a problem with just 3 or so.

they prefer decent cover, which could be hard to get with wood, unless it was really holey.

Thats why I go Malaysian. Plenty of holes and it sinks.

these are prob one of if not the most "timid" out of all of them. its not that they arent territorial or aggressive to others, its just they like shady retreats. most Pseudacanthicus sp. like somewhere to completely hide them, and they like to be in shady spots too.

ALL pseudocanthicus are territorial.

here is my L273 and my L25 having it out both @12"

im trying to find some of that stuff. i duno how hard it is to find some that could house 6 12" (average)plecos though.
I'm just lucky, my LFS brought in 2 palets of the stuff. I got first pick on it, and there were some pieces that were too big for my tank. One peice sepereate from the palet was 46"Lx23"Wx35"T, I could house that in my next tank, and take up most of the room.

yea... so they'd prob get hammered by the other more aggressive species...

DW is easier to get here... they're sold by weight even at farms.

need to look for one 5ft long one.... shld cost abt US$100.
