thanks a lot man...its hard to imagine that i started off 5 years ago with a 1' by 1' tank and one flowerhorn! he was such a responsive and amazing fish which is why my hobby grew and grew...most of the fish in my pond r about 3-4 years old! i bought the RTCs not knowing how big they cud actually grow...they just looked really cute. before i knew it...i needed a pond! crazy...keepinfish;1181467;1181467 said:

Can't wait till you figure out how to get the rtc's up, You should by a hand held scale, and just weigh them while they are still in the net so it is quick and painless, not much stress. I am so curious how much those monsters weigh!!! The rubber net sounds like a good idea, a regular fishing net might tear there fins up pretty bad or worse they might get tangled up and you will have to cut them free. They make huge sock net's for koi purposes that might be gentle enough to not harm the rtc's fins and prevent the spikes from getting stuck. I think if you try and herd them into anything in that large of a setup that you would probably just be wasting your time.
