Yes, the largest paima is almost the size of the largest gar (girth and length).RTC could not eat them even if it tried - can kill but not eat. The growth is quite stupendous.... the other two are close behind... they are gonna slow down until April (unless we have a warm winter) ... they eat less during cooler weather. The smaller ones do not color up



much to my chagrin. The one with broken back is totally ok now. the second one is still visible.
I did mention that paimas are big wimps when it comes to eating oversized things but they are quick to home on shrimp and Hikari. My LFS told me that his paima choked and died on a snakehead feeder



i am not feeding snakeheads no more
PS: paimas are quite phycotic when they attack pellets - lots of water splash EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
