Well, you could put in a few floating islands with plants. The islands float and can be tethered to the side or bottom. The roots of the plants hang out into the water and eat phosphates and nitrates. The roots are where small breeding fish can live and reproduce, to feed the larger fish that will hunt them. Livebearers or mop spawners.
interesting idea tho. very original. i guess my only concern is the RTCs and paroon uprooting any plants in the pond. but yeh i mite give it a try wen i get back!

my arowana , red tail catfish, Gar fish, clown Kanife fish, oscar long fine and tukunal(BASS FISH) that nice
looks like u have very similar fish to me :) in retrospect i actually wished that i bought 10 RTCs and just had a super army of RTC soldiers. that wuda been cool. i saw a tank in china that had 30 RTCs and it was sensational. plus feeding ud be very easy cuz they all eat the same thing...just a lot more $$$!!!

they certainly get enuf food to be happy! im trying to train them to eat large floating hikari spirulina pellets instead of massivores...its a lot cheaper!!! x_X

Looking awesome man. Can't wait to see how big your hybrids end up in a pond that size! They are almost caught up to mine.

Love your pond! Your hybrids and RTCs are awesome!!! Maybe some day I'll have something similar, but for now my 90 gal will have to do.

lolz HOPEFULLY one day. they also tend to eat more in warmer climates so i have a good advantage. they r now around 32-34'' long but dont have any where near as much girth as ures. takes years to build that belly up!
