yerrr i gues but its kinda hard to find already large fish...and i dont have any more space to growout fish cuz my tank already has 6 arows and maybe sum stingrays soon! but yeh...i already have RTCs...TSNs...Hybrids...Gars...CKs and pacus! my food bill is already off the hook lolzbobVillanueva;2434191;2434191 said:temensis might be able to make it man
nice man thanks for the tip...but yehhh im pretty sceptical about that guy putting my fish in only after 2 days of testing the water!!!! but im guessing that goldfish r sensitive enuf to die after 2 days if sumthing goes wrong...but ill put my faith in the fish guy so we'l see :s the medicine was only just put in today tho :s goldfish in TOMOROW!ctoychik;2434175;2434175 said:My builders used lots of vinegar to treat the newly constructed contraption... soaked it for several days in a vinegar solution - rinse then added water - decholorinate then fish (much to my chargrin by my father in my absence) ...oh well, none of the residents died...

well for the very fact that i love the look of a school of silver arowanas. if they happen to breed then even better. im also not sure about arapaimas for the reason that they just grow so large that only the largest of home aquaria r sufficient to house these amazing beasts. also i have failed twice wen rearing arapaimas. its like my bad luck charm. my setup so far can house all my fish for life but an arapaima wud pose a problem in the future.ctoychik;2436476;2436476 said:Hmmm, i missed the crystals bit ... yes, i think i heard about these and saw them on the market. It is called "sour stone" here (really multipurpose overhere). Not sure what it is but sounds acidic thus probably similar to vinegar effect (cement is alkalin i think, so it makes sense) hahahaha in you case, really a lot of vinegar bottles
I am excited for you too. It would look really awesome ... apprehensive of puting more aros (in your growout) with your massively growing RTC ^^
PS: you should really try paimas in such a large set-up (why or why you went silver - nothing wrong with silver but you already have a silver monstrosity - unless for breeding? ... what for).
yeh i think the problem is that i put the pima in the pond too early (ie. he was too small) so the larger catfish kept chasing him and scared him into jumping out. i wont repeat the same mistake tho!ctoychik;2441444;2441444 said:Space problem??? Dude, you got your earthpond to transfer the future gigantic paima into once it outgrows your pond ... and even that would be a while. Of course, not an army of paimas.
But your point about bad luck is taken. ... my paimas do not seem to jump (let's hope it stays that way)
