Haha yesss i remember seeing that a long time ago! TRUE MONSTER SILVERS! they are not very thick but look HUGEEE! i wud kill to see my silver in a tank setting. i reckon she would look even LARGER! :D

That is actually such a good idea!!! i may try that! gotta get my fish to stay still for a sec tho haha. i love how i dont have to hurt my fish to get this measurement! although people wont believe me cause its not the most accurate method...

Yes my parents are investing on this beautiful piece of land near our house for a holiday home. they are opening an animal shelter for cats and dogs....and they will also build a hugeeeee pond for my fish and other rescue fish that i find on the way :) My paimas...pacus...RCKs and others will head over there!
That's sick, how your going to have a bigger pond! Maybe you could dedicate this current pond to Aros. :D

The current pond will house my RTCs. Koi and arows...i want more KOI! at least 8 of them :) The paroon shark and my hybrid catfish may have to stay since they ONLY EAT hikari massivore delites :( i dont know how to train them to eat anything else! so frustrating!

Excellent.. i was waiting for a video of the aro.. cos i kept checking your channel if there were any silver aro measuring vids.. i know its pretty tough to measure big momma the same way you measured the others.. the first thing after watchin the video was go check the aros in my pond.. ha ha ha ha..the tiles in my pond are 1X1.. and i was like WTF!!!! all the best mate.. good thing you adopted her from your driver.. i'm sure he is as happy as you are to see her this big.. cheers mate..

Damn how much do u feed him lol...

only 3 times a week but HEAVY FEEDINGS. i feed him 5-7 inch fish from the markets. he can eat like 8 of them lol

make me really wish i lived somewhere warm so i could bring my guys outside to grow like that
warm but don't live in Texas, we have an extreme weather with too hot summer, freaking cold winter and a low humidity!

Thing is massive. can't really agree or disagree with the 120cm though. There is nothing of known size to judge against. What is the fish that swims by a about 50 seconds? They look to be about the same. Since she is willing to swim up to your hand why not at least get a picture of year with a meter stick floating near by, at least that would be a reference.

I think that is probably the best option, a floating yard/meter stick.

Keep it in your tank. It's not worth risking injuring it just to be able to say it's "X" inches long. Just my humble opinion.

This is why I think the stick is the best option

Looks massive definately think you might actually have a 4ft one there, videos and pictures never do justice they are massive only once put next to a measuring tape. Here is a link to the BIGGEST silver arowana i have ever seen!

Thanks for the awesome link! that silver is truly massive! check him out next to that little kid! but i know what u mean about pics and vids not doing these fish justice! plus if my arow was in a DISPLAY tank he would look even larger. kinda like how my green arow looks TINY in my pond but HUGE when taken out on land...
