Thing is massive. can't really agree or disagree with the 120cm though. There is nothing of known size to judge against. What is the fish that swims by a about 50 seconds? They look to be about the same. Since she is willing to swim up to your hand why not at least get a picture of year with a meter stick floating near by, at least that would be a reference.
Still think the item I suggested in your other thread would work fine for holding and measuring.
Keep it in your tank. It's not worth risking injuring it just to be able to say it's "X" inches long. Just my humble opinion.
