TLkmDN's World's LARGEST S.A. AROWANA!!! - 120cm (29/7/2011)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive been watchin all the videos on that channel constantly. i love all the fish especially the rtc's and arapaima. they are amazing!

Thing is massive. can't really agree or disagree with the 120cm though. There is nothing of known size to judge against. What is the fish that swims by a about 50 seconds? They look to be about the same. Since she is willing to swim up to your hand why not at least get a picture of year with a meter stick floating near by, at least that would be a reference.

Still think the item I suggested in your other thread would work fine for holding and measuring.

hey thanks so much for the suggestion. i think i might do that. the arapaimas were measured a few weeks ago and could not properly be measured because he JUMPED OUT of the tub before we cud push him against the tape. plus, in the month that I've been home the paimas have grown HUGEEE through power feeding of 3-4 feedings a day....they are closer to 70cm++ now. they only looked similarlarly sized at 50 secs because they swim right at the top whereas BIG MOMMA swims in the middle section of the pond. trust me she is a LOT bigger. ALMOST twice the size of the paimas.

Keep it in your tank. It's not worth risking injuring it just to be able to say it's "X" inches long. Just my humble opinion.

That's exactly what my heart and instincts are telling me haha...

there is suggestion from a guy on youtube say that you use markers to mark the head and tail of the aro to the wall and then measure the distance between the two marks!

hey and WTH? you are really building a new pond?

That is actually such a good idea!!! i may try that! gotta get my fish to stay still for a sec tho haha. i love how i dont have to hurt my fish to get this measurement! although people wont believe me cause its not the most accurate method...

Yes my parents are investing on this beautiful piece of land near our house for a holiday home. they are opening an animal shelter for cats and dogs....and they will also build a hugeeeee pond for my fish and other rescue fish that i find on the way :) My paimas...pacus...RCKs and others will head over there!
