Sorry but you arent going to pull me into your game. 37 going on 15 I guess.:screwy:

You cited facts friend, not me. The FACT that most snakes are kept in glass fishtanks with screened tops WITH NO ESCAPES rather than rack systems is apparently lost on you.
You mentioned that NOBODY should pay attention to my arguement, how valid is YOUR arguement when you state your opinion as FACT?

I think we can stop now. Everybody has got their two sence in and this isn't going anywhere.

Wow you say that MOST snakes ARE kept in glass tanks huh?? Without any escapes?? Maybe you need to spend some time at these sites and ask opinions about glass tanks and escapes, redtailboa.net or burmesepythonforums.com or kingsnake.com or reptilesmagazine.com. or boaphile.com or........why bother, your not going to listen to any of thier opinions either.
And how YOU expect anyone to listen to you after telling them that you are going to "F" thier sisters and drink them under the table?? Oh and that everyone here has a "higher than thou" attitude??(except you of course). And the FACT that you cant let it go with me yet?? Hate to inform you of this Bro..........but you are a troll.

Im am officially gonna let this go now as I can see that you are stuck in the past and cant see whats going on in the present world of snake keeping right in front of you. And thats fine, if it works for you great. But the simple truth is that there is a better way whether you want to see it or not. Besides I CAN walk away and let it die. CAN YOU?

It's "Holier than though" attitude, which accurately describes those who argue their opinions to be facts.;)
It's possible your friends at boa.com, python.com and the such use racks and may even HATE glass tanks but the FACT remains that the overwhelming majority of snakes bought spend their lives in fish tanks simply because that's what the dealer is selling them; the buyer trusts the dealer to sell them the appropriate environment. Selling a rack system or snake specific habitat is an upsell at best, unless you are talking about those cheapo set up's you can buy at Wal Mart. Don't let your anger shield you from the facts. 9 out of 10 snakes sold are housed in a fish tank with a screened lid.
The practically factor rears it's head once the hobbyist learns a bit more and wants to advance his involvement in the hobby; like breeding or just keeping more snakes. This is the more common time alternative housing is researched via the internet or local reptile center.
Despite all the name calling and your utter shock at my sense of humor, i've been consistant with my explanations of my opinions.

If you re-read this entire thread, you should notice that it was suggested that fish tanks are inappropriate to house snakes. THIS IS 100% FALSE.
It was suggested that rack systems offer the snake and keeper a better, healthier life than fish tanks. THIS IS 100% FALSE.
It was suggested that snakes will escape from any enclosure other than a rack system. THIS IS 100% FALSE.
It was suggested that a fish tank's humidity and temp could not maintained as effectively as a rack system. THIS IS 100% FALSE.
All your opinions, NO FACTS.
Just keep name calling dude, you can't man up and admit that your opinions are merely just opinions.
As for my comment, I read it again AND IT'S STILL FUNNY!:) Anyone that doesn't agree should understand that it's not meant literally. Read between the lines and put it in context with the rest of the paragraph and unless you have a comprehension problem, you just might get it.;)
I will happily move on unless you care to continue arguing your opinions as facts.

I think you are the only one laughing at your own joke, and anyone else who laughed was probably laughing AT you.

Again, I think YOU should re-read the thread. I said:

And blood/borneos love tight spaces. Also, their need for humidity is much greater than most other snakes commonly kept. To keep a blood python in a glass tank is totally inappropriate.

So why are you stuck on the idea that I said that glass tanks were bad for ALL species?

I also never stated that glass tanks *couldn't* be used...I have been arguing that rack systems are simply just 'better' on many levels.

You did say one thing I agreed with...

I started out using glass tanks, and had a lot of problems maintaining humidity and temperature. I switched over to Animal Plastics terrestrial cages, and eventually sold all of those and went to racks. This was out of concern for the health and maintenance of my collection. After seeing the clear benefits of rack systems (especially for ball pythons), I could never go back.

I think that at this point you are just arguing for the sake of arguing, said some silly things, and basically discrediting your entire argument with each post. I don't think anyone here appreciates your sense of humor, so please be adult about this and respond with the same courtesy that I've extended to you thus far.
