When people look for Green Terrors, Angelfish, Discus, Jaguars, Red Devils, etc. we all know what they are looking for.

How many threads have there been debating what really is a "green terror"?? ;)

I somewhat agree with Pete, if your fish are actually wild caught or F1 from a known locality then call them Colombian/Ecuador/whatever, but if they've been tank bred for more than a generation or two then just stick to "festae"....

Just asking . Is there another area other than west of the Andes where Festae are collected in Ecuador ? I had always been under the impression that they were found mostly in southern ecuador near the Guayas river and near the Peruvian border .

i say drop the word "true". other than that, everyone here is leaps and bounds over my head. i have one little male festae who is skittish as hell, I call him Sheamus McGregor.

Nolapete: you actually gave me some advice on him 6 months ago when i first got him. thanks, so far he is still healthy and you were right...he is DEF a male.

Festae, like all other species, should be labeled based on latin species name and collection locale (if available). I agree that Red Terror is a term that should not be used. Go to Florida and ask some fish farmers what species a Red Terror is. You will not always get the same answer....
