o.k ,its confermed ,the people want fffiiisshhh !!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!

so i'll set up a kiddy pool or fill my tub(yes ,hes to big for my biggest tank) and i'll try to get to my LFS to get pics of them as soon as i can

*take the slanted word as a hint ,i might be doing some vending soon:naughty:

Says you have a thirty in your sig, use that.
 
i do ,but i dont want him nawking around the rock wook and driftwood ,plus the biggest fish in that tank is a 2.75 inch con ,along with a 2 inch HRP and a 1.99 inch salvini and 5 small flame tail cons(conXhrp) so in short...........he'd reck the tank

Umm, I might have to change my vote. If you don't have the space, don't get the fish. You already have the makings for some monster cons in you ca tank, just grow those out.
 
I've never seen a monster convict in person but I'm sure it's a sight to behold. It takes so long for them to get that large! I'd say if you can find some room for him, get him! And take pics!
 
o.k ,i do have the space ,i just set up a 75ish gallon tub with a filter and heater ,and the con is a sight to behold ,and only for 9.99 !!!!!!!!!! i'll post pics as soon as i can ,and hopefully the first pic will be him beside a foot long ruler ,and below i will do a line thing of how longish he is

hes bigger than that ,so i'll but it like this ,he was as big as the adult female dovii in the tank with him :eek:

Females determine how many eggs are produced... then the male fertilizes as many as of them as he can...

So a huge male and a tiny female will have tiny broods... a tiny male and a huge female will have tiny broods... but a huge male and a huge female will have huge broods...


If you can properly house him & care for him... get him... but if you can't leave him for someone who can...

I had a 7 year old male Con that was just a hair over 6" total length... if they do not spawn as they grow up this isn't uncommon... but I've never seen a Con (male or female) that readily spawned through it's adolescence/early adulthood reach this size.
