ouch, best of luck bro. I dont know though. I mean I've seen my piranhas take a huge chunk out of anothers back, and the damn thing heeled up and eventually the skin and color came back. That though is almost to the bone. Hang in there with it, dont give up. If he's eating then it obviously isnt killing him.

my kelberi is swimming upright now. after adding salt to the tank this morning and doing a 50% wc. came home from work and he is swimming upright!

progression has been fast and steady, now im really optimistic for a speedy recovery.
what should i do with his tail, will it grow back?

I'm not sure about it's function but I think it will be deformed,at best.I say don't give up on it though.

the picture of the bahia is when he was shaking off his excess skin, he was trying to shed it to let it heal i guess and it covered his tail. the excess skin has fell off and he is swimming and eating.

yea, all this happen so fast i didnt know what to do with it. one day hes all chilling with my orinos eating pellets the next day hes all beat up. hes a trooper for sure.

my guess is he will have a bent tail, right now his tail is pointing up.
