to set the record straight...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dont get how this is such a hard cconcept.... or how to be more clear

if you have a 24" fish in a 24" wide tank it does not matter if your tank is still to small for the fish regardless of lenght.... a 30" wide tank would be the min needed for the fish to turn somewhat comfortable.... seriously what is so hard about what i wrote....

no offence man.
just trying to state that instead of saying what he did,he couldve said something more meaningful.

Meaningful? Ouch man...You sound mad...Yes he could have worded it differently...But we all have common sense and the ability to "fill in the blanks"....He is an advanced keeper, just like you and me....

why not tell the threadstarter what tank size would be best instead of making it sound so long winded.
and no offence to anyone. :)

None taken here...That is the thing. The answer is 6'-12' long 24"wide -30"+ wide...It is all opinion and what YOU feel ok with...Trust me, there are aros in 55's here on MFK......Again, this is good convo no offense has been given or taken.

Id say you could keep one in that sized tank for a good few years, a 6x2x30 would be better.

hmm maybe 6'x30"x2'

I ment 30 wide.

;) gotcha covered there buddy :)

I think we ALL agree that a 30" wide tank would be BEST for a Jardini.
