i have no idea, i always try not to feed my fish anything wild (could be carrying something)

by the way... what fish did you feed the tadpoles too? (just curious)

dude just keep close eye on the fish that ate them when they start floating near the top put them in a bag hopefuly they are strong enuf to withstand the poison in the toad tadpoles.

Toads and toadtadpoles carry sometype of poison thats harmfull to fish. You have ide say 50/50 shot of them makeing it or not makeing it. Yes it sucks but now u no not to feed them next time.Sorry but you should always ask befor you use something from the wild for food for your fish

The best feeder tadpoles and frogs come from a bait store or the lfs they usally carry feeder african frogs and tadpoles for feeders if you get them from the lfs just ask them if theyre ok to feed.
As for your fish highly unlikely you hurt him he probably didnt like the taste some fish don't eat frogs and tadpoles its more the cold water speices that do.

ya toad tadpoles are poison's. u should never feed tadpoles unless u are sure they are nonpoison's. hope he makes it

it lived through the nite. and it started to feed again. i think it will be fine.

btw it was my FH. the bluegill ate 2 and was fine. i think the jewel cichlid ate one also and it is fine too. only the FH had any problems.

:iagree: with fishnutham. If you wanna give them tadpoles again, get these from a bait shop or LFS to be sure they're the non-poison type. BTW, the FH that got problems is this in your avatar?

Best regards.

Daniel.
