I was just telling someone else here on the site that I have a couple of Managuense in the pond (his brothers) that are not only enormous12-13"...but I think might make this one look like a goldfish. From what I can see from looking down at them in the pond, they have a VERY intense blue coloration across the top and fins. But more importantly is that they are MUCH larger...more mature beauty. I have to get one in particular out to photograph...once I can get some tank space.

I look foward to seeing pics:)

These were shot with a 28-70 zoom at a focal length of 50mm.

2.8?

that or the 24-70 are on my wish list:drool:.

i'm a terrible at aquarium photography, any chance you have or could draw up a simple pic of your lighting system or explain exactly what's in it?

aquarium depth, lights on aquarium, and all flashes used?

Actually that was a typo. It's the 24-70 zoom lens...2.8

I use three Nikon Sb-800 flashes...all diffused...all with different settings. They vary depending on what I am trying to capture. The only other lights are the camera and the overhead tank light. The tanks vary. The managuense are in a 100 gallon tank.
