Wouldnt a finer sand be better for the labs since they are sifters in the wild..

All of the Labridens that we saw and caught had a very rocky substrate in their environment...especially the riverine species of Labridens. They do a lot of "piking" around the rocks. I guess that could be considered sifting...but not the same way you would see some of the Geo's eat.

Thanks. When we collected them Rusty Wessel said these were the nicest he had ever seen. I had high expectations, but never expected these. I have some addional breeding photos that I will post later.

hmmm thats different....cause in the first article i saw the labs, would actually dive into the sand and rustle it up to get plankton and crustaceans into the water column..but times have changed..maybe not for the best...with all this damn inbreeding going on in media luna
