i don't know why i started this thread ..thinking i could take pics and feed too.... should have waited until hubby was around..trust me nobody gets left out... some don't care for it through.

Those are some spoiled turts to turn down the premium meats!

Also, I can see loose scutes on it's back, looks like it's growing FAST!

are the scuts okay.. they were this size last may when i found them hatched and half dead.. i hope their not growing too fast..View attachment 356431

As long as you don't notice fat around their limbs, making them appear chubby.

As with all things we keep, a one to two day fast once a week (especially after big feedings) really does them good.

Liz, why are the shrimps so red? Do you cook them then feed them? Shrimps is my bichir daily diet not a treat. I give my bichirs massivores as a treat and once in awhile some guppies to make them exercise.
