I was just kidding around, I knew Lounge-dwellers would immediately get the reference. Nothing personal.

Though one could say you calling it an insult is an even bigger insult to poor LBF...

Okay, I'll shut up now.

This is true it did sound like that. That was worded poorly. My mistake. I just don't like the fact that you would try to pull a joke like that in a post such as this. As Kevin said, good joke bad time.

I am sure that you might have already explored this avenue, but Craigslist would also be a start to finding employment.

Thanks for the suggestion. Somehow I forgot about their job section. I will have him take a look. I know he used to find a few side jobs here and there on CL. Thank you :)

He doesn't have any, and mine are broke as dirt. They would help me if they could, but they are all in the same boat or worse. Before he got fired, we were doing very well. We have about 900 in savings, but that's not gonna last a whole long time. We only spend $75 a month in food, and I live across the street from my job so we spend all of $40 a month on gas, if that. I am worried about electric, rent, and feeding my snakes.
there are low income apartments designed for households who make less than a certain amount a year. there are some nice ones in AZ but I'm not sure about your area could be ghetto as all get or could be fine. It all depends on how much state funding they get.

still if your family is broke as well getting a place together for alittle bit would increase the quality fo life all around. Before my wife and I build our house we moved in with her parents for 6 months to save money. It benefitted us both, they got help on rent and utilities and we got to live there for very little cost.

alot of people are pooling together right now to save money, this could also be with a few freinds as well. so even if you can't do it with family you might be able to work something out and go in with a freind on an apartment. I'll assume yours isn't big enough to take on a room mate (if it is start there) typically the larger the place the cheaper per sqft it is a month. This will typically allow you the same or more space even though you are sharing with someone else. (so if a 1 bedroom is 660 per month, a 2 bedroom could be had for 800-850 per month alowing you to pay 400-425 instead of 660 for the same amount of space)

so aks around and see if someone else is in the same boat, you might be able to work something out together.

To break our lease would be a pain in the you know what. My family kicked me out pretty much the day I turned 18 so I don't see them letting me move in anyways. All of my friends either live in dorms or with their parents. My friend and her boyfriend are considering moving into a place soon and I have discussed being roomies with her too. The downside of where I am is that everything is so overpriced. I would love to move out of the state to somewhere cheaper.

Thanks for the suggestions though I will look into our options.

yeah and hang in there there's alot of people in trouble right now, I myself have a new baby on the way and no idea where the money is goign to come from ontop of all my bills.

you can always have your fiance look for odd jobs while he's lookign for a real job, they typically can get you by in a pinch, also you cna try talking to your landlord, the way times are they my be lienent on the due date for rent. (scope this out first though, as if they're not the understanding type you could be hurting yourself instead of helping)

the way I see it if you two can survive this you'll be well prepped for marriage.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words. My dad can get him a few side jobs here and there along with him looking on Craigslist. It's just that to find that job it took him like 5 months so I'm hoping that this time it won't take as long. Hopefully someone will hire him for 'seasonal' and if he proves himself, hopefully they will hire him after season is over. You really never know.

ouch and ouch! please ignore me, just a rant but i just don't understand girls who hitch their life, family and future on someone who.......doesn't appear to have the brightest future. i'm not saying every girl should seek our milliionaires but where are the standards?

I'm sorry but that's probably the most ignorant thing I have read all day. You probably believe money buys love/happiness... :screwy::banher:

Well a little good news. He submitted an application all of an hour ago and the place called him and did a mini q&a with him. Said they would call him in an hour or so to set up an interview with him after they spoke to his references. Fingers crossed :)

Edit : Interview at 5:30 :)
