just outta curiosity, what makes it so obvious to you? location, fish's color, what?

coloration, jawsize, and location.

SM are usually found in rivers.

li i go to ceciel county when i fish for them . They were at the pond up at my parents trailer. Theres another pond i fish also but didnt hit it this time./

like other have answered already

lmb usually greenish white with one dark horizontal line from head to tail in the middle of body

smb usually bronze with many vertical stripes

the join of the lips goes pass the eye in lmb whereas smb the join of lip is before eye

its not harmful, usually a big one will jsut yawn and the little ones simply spring to life and swim away



its supporting the fish rather then lifting them out by the back or tail

I read in Field and stream that it immobilizes then when u hold them like that. But it doesn't work for peacock bass.
