My Topaz female passed away so now the male is pairing with a female convict for now. I am sure they had fry but they're also in tank with some midas x FH grow outs. Likely eaten lol
I am thinking it's going to be hard to tell them from either parent species especially if some get the dark bar
Convict sajica has been done before, they just look like sajica with convict body coloration. They keep the shape, blue eyes, and fin color
Just referencing the Topaz x sajica from op. Just my observation from having kept both species. Yes I've seen convict and sajica
not hard to tell apart at all so far ots taking on the sajica shape and tojica markings its beginning to get as big as Nanolutes
Its been another month so here’s another update
so far only 1/5 has the dorsal spot that would indicate female and she is also the smallest and most colorful out of the 5.
I'd imagine the dominant male will court that female soon. I expect you'll get fry with this cross
