125 Gallon... $85... Needs the center brace replaced and needs to be resealed. I don't think it comes with anything else like a stand or anything, but I think this is a good deal - what about you guys?

I can't even begin to think of what I might put in this tank! :nilly: I want Oscar(s) but I don't know that I would want to devote the tank to O's if I cant get more than 3 fish to put in the tank. If not I was thinking a tropical community tank, possibly planted... I kinda want something different, maybe a larger catfish, or bala sharks, with some larger schooling fish... IDK! lol I don't have the tank yet but I had some questions...

1. How hard is it to reseal a tank?
2. Is it hard to replace a glass center brace?
3. Is $85 a good deal for a tank that needs that much work done to it?
4. Do I really need a bed in my room? lmao

If I had that tank, I would not sell it. It would go into the garbage can. But that is me thou. I would not want anyone to own that tank in that condition.

Not a good deal with that much work required.. i saw a 115 gallon glass tank in working condition on my craigslist today for $100.. but my craigslist (Seattle) almost never has good deals.. usually it's 10 gallon for $40 people :screwy:

Well putting a brace in is real simple and resealing a tank is real simple.

So personally, I would say yeh a good deal.

What you want to do though is look real close at it to make sure there are no cracks or chips in the tank. Does the tank leak at this point or is the silicone just coming loose and might leak.

If the glass is in good shape, I do not see why this is not a good deal.

As well there is something to be said for having the satisfaction in taking a wreck and making it a beaut. (though if not done right you stand a chance of a train wreck :P )

edit:I took a 5ft 150 that needed a brace and put one on no probs

maybe i'm spoiled by some of the deals here in LA, but i would offer him $40 for the tank. and wouldn't necessarily call replacing the center brace and resealing a tank easy. is it doable, yes... is it worth it for this particular tank? only if the price is much lower.

I feel the same way! I was given a 110g for free here

depends on if your lazy or not, personally (as an advocate of laziness) I'd probably take a pass

besides there could be some issues your not sure about, i don't like iffy tanks

The guy offered to reseal it... I don't know that I would trust him doing that though, I would rather do it myself. Do I just say no to the whole thing of do I see if I can get him to come down to like $40?
