Too many fish ? PICS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just answer this are you willing to give some up? I will take some in and home them the way they should be. 55 gallons is WAYYY!!! to small! All of those fish are not recommend to even be in a 55 gallon except for the con, GT and JD. Trimacs get huge 15" same with all the others. They all will reach 15" upon FULL maturity. Just PM and I will take some in almost immediately!

nah ive had my tank for about 3 1/2 years now and I do this all the time. this was the most ive stocked my tank though, ill usually start with like 10 fish in the 55 gallon and raise out the biggest baddest fish and get rid of the others. i realize ill prolly just end up with 1 or 2 7-8 inch fish like always. than have to sell them because they are too big. i am trying to get some hybrids going thats why their is such a great mix.

i know everything about my fish, and i did plenty research on all the fish i purchased. although i cant afford the space in my room for a bigger tank, i had to make do with the space i have and get a 55. i can in the end leave one fish to grow out in the tank and it will be the best looking out of the mix of monsters.

no its not a blood parrot mix although i do see what you are talking about. a friend of mine got his from the same store at this size and it looked very similar to it in shape and structure so im hoping mine turns out like his. here's a picture of his banded devil all grown up.

He's got quite a way to go before he's all grown up.

If that was true you wouldn't have to ask if you had too many fish in your one 55 gallon tank, you'd know you did already. And apparently you do.
I have to say, waiting to see who comes up the winner in this mess waiting to happen isn't the responsible way to go. Pretty easy to say "I'll take the one that isn't all f*cked up" in the end.
That midas will never look like your friend's. If it doesn't have BP blood in it then it's simply deformed and obviously so.
I seriously doubt a JD, Texas, Choc, Con, GT, deformed Midas or even a Freddy would end up ruling that tank when competing with a trimac, FH, BB, RD/Midas and RT. So why would you bother adding them? That's just f*cked up IMO.

Well starting the thread named "Too many fish?" was more just to start interest. I know that is way too many fish for a 55 gallon but thats not the point, its more an experiment to get the baddest fish of the bunch. When you said :

"I seriously doubt a JD, Texas, Choc, Con, GT, deformed Midas or even a Freddy would end up ruling that tank when competing with a trimac, FH, BB, RD/Midas and RT. So why would you bother adding them? That's just f*cked up IMO.

You would be wrong because the chocolate cichlid, and the deformed midas are 2 of the top 4 baddest in the tank, along with the flowerhorn, and red terror.
