I have a 90gal tank. Currently in the tank there is:

2x Spotted gar - Both 6"
2x Green terror - 5" & 3"
2x Talapiya - Both 3"
1x Albino Cichlid - 4"
2x Blood parrot - 4" & 5"
2x Ghost knife fish - 3"
1x Convict cichlid - 2"
3x Tire track eel - 6"
1x upside down catfish - 4"
2x common pleco - 5" & 9"
4x Unidentified cichlids - 2.5"

I have been told by my LFS that they are all fine in my tank. However, I know that they often tell us anything to sell their fish!

Please let me know what you guys think as I am worried about my fish!

I know many of my fish will eventually out grow of this tank however, i have a 200gal project underway which when the time comes they will be moved into.

Thanks!

o ya for sure to many or atleast it will be very soon when there all bigger lol. sounds like that would be a warzone. do u have any pics of the tank? what do u use for filtration?

And i thought my 90gal was overstocked. You really want to start reconsidering whats in that tank befor you start loosing fish. Id suggest keeping 4-5 of your favorite fish out of the tank and see how that goes. This is mass war waiting to happen.

Yeah, your going to need to reduce your stock in there. I will help you out.
1x Spotted gar - Both 6"
2x Green terror - 5" & 3"
1x Albino Cichlid - 4"
2x Blood parrot - 4" & 5"
1x Ghost knife fish - 3"
1x Convict cichlid - 2"
1x Tire track eel - 6"
1x upside down catfish - 4"
1x common pleco - 5" & 9"
2x Unidentified cichlids - 2.5"
I would shrink the qty. of fish down.

Depending on the growth rates on those fish, if they can't keep up with the gars, your stock list may lighten up by natural causes. ;)

this is better. :D

I honestly think it is overstocked even for a 200 gallon. I would cut the number of fish by 75%. That is 22 fish in the 90 gallon. I would only put about 1/2 those fish in the 200 gallon, maybe even only 1/3.

Thanks a lot for the response everybody, i too thought it was 2 much. The tank is a Sunsun make. With 2 power heads (not sure of the make) its the sprinkler type filter system where the water is pushed through 2 pipes in the filter tray that have holes all along them allowing the water to sprinkle out onto the foam.

As to becoming a war zone, they have all been in this tank for about a month now with the only issues between that larger Green Terror and the parrot fish. The parrot fish have made the back half of the ship i have in there their home and are territorial over it. There is occasional lip locking between the 2. Both parrots seem to gang up on the terror at times. However, this happens very occasionally.

I will definitely cut down the fish that are in there. I have another 30gal tank that I may move the smaller ones into as they are only about 2.5" - 3" so they should be ok in there for a little while. (please correct me if im wrong)

Now the choice is what fish to cut down on :( I like all of them but obviously their health an happiness comes first!

Ill keep you guys posted on what i decide an hopefully get some pics up!

Thanks again everybody!

I'm still trying to determine what exactly this Albino cichlid is... Could end up being a real Monster:WHOA:
