too many holes drilled?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
id do two 3 inch holes and get an overflow box for it then run your return or a powerhead so it pushes your skim towards the overflow box i dont think you would have a problem with skim as long as you run an overflow it should virtually eliminate it cuz all the water being extracted is from the surface of the tank

two of the dart pump overflows on glass holes should be more then plenty IMO

Most set ups have the water going from the tank, into a pre-filter of some kind, through the sump and then to the pump where it returns to the tank. The "gunk" should not reach your pump. Since you are not having your tank driled, I hope you have also elected not to have that 4"drain hole drilled.....way too big. There is no reason to have a hole that big for water changes IMO. A 1.5" drain will be more than enough.

in the pic of the dart over flow it looked it went through the pump then into the sump. i have 40 ft of 1.5inch i could use. i gues the 1/4 inch im using now just frusterates me big time.
