in the pic of the dart over flow it looked it went through the pump then into the sump. i have 40 ft of 1.5inch i could use. i gues the 1/4 inch im using now just frusterates me big time.

anyone with the dart overflow care to chime in?

The tubing I think you are referring to is to isolate any vibration and to make cleaning the pipes easier.

Unless you are talking about the vent tubes in the 90's that come out of the Glass-Holes/com DART overflow...which are indeed there to stop the gurgling...
